Energy Advice and Fairer Warmth
Our Energy Advice project is part of the Government’s Local Energy Advice Demonstrator (LEAD) programme. We work closely with Fairer Warmth to provide FREE energy advice and ongoing support to the residents of Rossendale. Feel free to download our newsletter or download our flyer.
What we do
- We offer free, impartial energy advice over the phone, online or at your home.
- We can do a free energy health check on your home to help reduce your energy bills.
- We can help you to understand your energy bills and check that they’re not estimated.
- We use an app called Fairer Warmth to check if you can get a grant to help make your home warmer and healthier.
Energy Health Check
- How energy efficient is your home? If you’re a homeowner or a private tenant, we might be able to find ways to make your home more energy efficient and reduce the carbon footprint.
- How much energy are you using each year? Your energy bills will show you how much energy you’re using. We can help you to understand the information on your bills and help you to lower your energy use if it’s higher than average for your household.
- Are you eligible for an energy grant? Grant eligibility depends on the property, who owns it, and usually the income of the occupant – you don’t always need to be on benefits to be eligible for a grant.
- Does your home have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)? In order to be eligible for a grant, the EPC usually has to be D or below. If you are eligible for a grant, but your property doesn’t have an EPC then we may be able to complete a free home energy assessment and provide you with a valid EPC.
